Del Cabo Events has grown up side by side with the picturesque and thriving luxury resort of Los Cabos. Our success has been wholly dependent upon our solidarity with local businesses and entrepreneurs who have sought and succeeded in making the world-class destination it is today.

YAHWE GARCÍA GARCÍA

Founder and CEO

Yahwe got his humble start in the Pacific resort town of Mazatlan, Mexico, where he grew up surrounded by tourists from all over the world and ultimately studied Hospitality and Tourism Management. You could say the tradition of warmly welcoming people is in his blood.

 

After a sojourn of several years working in the hotel business in Mexico City, he made his way to Baja where he founded Del Cabo Events, whose massive inventory and bespoke, client-centered approach has transformed the events industry.

 

His contemporaries often describe him as a hyperactive visionary, someone with a gift for anticipating where the industry is headed, and making sure Del Cabo Events gets there first.

 

He is also a firm believer in Giving Back to the community, and makes certain that he and his team devote a significant amount of time, energy, and resources to various social causes in the region.

 

Outside of the office, Yahwe can often be found at home with his husband Luca entertaining family and friends, or indulging his insatiable love for worldwide travel and cuisine, eating his way from Kuala Lumpur to the island of Cyprus.

Our reputation has been built from the ground up and is a direct result of our hyper-motivated team of executives who employ their expertise in decor, fabric, staging, lighting, furniture, and custom design to craft spectacular events.

PAMELA LLONÍN COUOH BÁRCENA

Sales Director

Before taking over the sales team at Del Cabo Events, Pamela was busy for over a decade burnishing her reputation as a force in the region at iconic brands such as NOBU and Marquis Los Cabos, both prominent members of the exclusive Leading Hotels of the World property collection. In addition to leading the teams under her to excellence in sales and professionalism, she also implemented original digital marketing strategies at both of these renown luxury tourist destinations.

 

To our good fortune, Pamela has now brought her record of success to Del Cabo Events, where she is thriving more than ever. She often credits the prized, long-term relationships she has been able to create with clients, colleagues, and commercial partners as the principal motivation for her commitment to excellence in the industry.

 

Outside of work, Pamela enjoys relaxing at home and values quality time with family and friends. Her motto is that it is always possible to find joy in the simplest of things, and she is a strong believer in continual learning and development as the best way of honing her talents.

INGRID VALDEZ

Administrative Sales Assistant

Ingrid has been in the business for four wonderfully successful years and she attributes that success to her organizational skills, creativity, and clarity when communicating with clients.
She takes great pleasure in the artistic aspect of her job and, in particular, the challenge of improving on spaces aesthetically. She is very focused on finding the right balance between her private and professional lives, and makes sure to find time to exercise, explore new restaurants, and travel whenever possible.

As the company continues to grow at a rapid clip, Ingrid hopes to be a part of Del Cabo Events on an international level in the near future. Her motto is, “Work hard, play hard, and if you know you can do better, then do better.”

Daniela Calleja

Sales Executive

With four years of experience in event planning and 19 years in the hospitality industry overall, Daniela has developed a keen eye for detail and exceptional communication skills, ensuring success in all of her projects, be it a social gathering, wedding, or corporate event.

 

What drives Daniela is the opportunity to create unique and memorable experiences for her clients. She is at her best when working on multiple projects and takes great satisfaction from the finished product. What motivates her is the belief that every event can be better than the last.


Outside of work, Daniela enjoys relaxing at home and values quality time with family and friends. Her motto is that it is always possible to find joy in the simplest of things, and she is a strong believer in continual learning and development as the best way of honing her talents.

EDNA CASTRO

Sales Executive

Edna has been burnishing her credentials in the events industry with patience and consistency for 14 strong years now. She is a great believer in the importance of maintaining close partnerships with hotel coordinators to overcome challenges in event planning. She describes herself as passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, she takes great satisfaction in not just meeting, but exceeding the expectations of her clients.

In her free time, Edna enjoys taking walks on the beach with her family who she refers to as her greatest inspiration and prime motivator in life. She believes Del Cabo Events is well worthy of international recognition and gives it her all everyday toward that goal. Her motto is, “Know when to be patient, and when to be smart, no matter what the circumstances.”

JORGE PALACIOS

Managing Director

With 20 years in the business behind him, Jorge believes a key factor to his success has been the ability to establish and maintain close professional relationships within the industry while continually building up customer trust. He values effective communication, excellence in service, and attention to detail, and admits to getting a bit of a thrill from being part of significant events and overcoming challenges that can arise unexpectedly when executing them.

Jorge always says that his greatest motivation is his son, and to that end does his best to maintain a healthy work-life balance. He adheres to a philosophy of empathy, keen observation, and meticulous organization, and contributes directly to strategic planning at Del Cabo Events, in addition to representing the company at industry-related events.

WENDY MONTALVO

Sales Executive

Wendy arrived at Del Cabo Events with eleven outstanding years in the hospitality industry behind her–six of those dedicated solely to events. She is passionate about her work and attributes her motivation to the fact that she simply loves what she does. She is all about the process, and says that the most gratifying part of her job is easily the constant interaction between herself and her clients and colleagues to create events that are truly singular. 

One of Wendy’s favorite words is “resilience” and she claims the greatest inspiration in her life, as well as the basis of her personal philosophy, is love. To that end, her most treasured quote is from the great Steve Jobs: “The only way to do great work, is to love what you do.” As for the future, she is looking forward to growing professionally at Del Cabo and to creating spectacular events of a kind Los Cabos has yet to see.

FEDERICO VILLALVA

Junior Sales Executive

Federico just celebrated six years since joining the company, marking a significant milestone in his career growth. His passion lies in the developing and executing his clients’ ideas, and delighting them with outstanding outcomes. One of his main objectives is to always create a trusting environment where his clients know that their projects are in good hands. He aspires to formally become a sales executive at Del Cabo Events and sees this as the next step in his professional growth.

He has also recently discovered a passion for billiards, a strategic game that combines both physics and geometry. Forever motivated to make his beloved mom proud, his motto is, “Make things happen.”

MIGUEL PEREGRINA

Managing Director

Miguel came to head up our Puerto Vallarta location with 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry behind him. He is a great believer in the power of making and maintaining useful contacts. In his own words, “A million friends are worth way more than a million dollars.”  A natural extrovert, the part of his job he is most passionate about is interacting with others, be it clients, suppliers, or colleagues.

 

Since the start of his career, Miguel has been dedicated to making the companies he works for more successful, so taking the helm at our rapidly growing Puerto Vallarta/Riviera Nayarit location was a perfect fit for him. In the spirit of healthy competition, he makes it no secret that his ultimate goal is to make Del Cabo Events in Puerto Vallarta as successful as its flagship location in Los Cabos.

 

Outside of work, Miguel takes a keen interest in film and theater and loves to travel whenever he can. He studied graphic design as a young man, and still possesses a great passion for it. He says the greatest motivator in his personal life is the time he is able to spend with his partner, family, and friends.

EYFELL MEDINA

Sales Executive

Never one to back away from a challenge, Eyfell cites some of the most demanding moments over her past ten years in the industry as some of the most rewarding as well, including working in limited spaces and remote locales. The key to overcoming anything in order to execute an amazing event, she says, is simple: a high level of organization, painstaking attention to detail, lots of clear communication, and of course, a healthy dose of creativity!

 

Eyfell says the part of her work that provides her with the greatest satisfaction is her ability to transmit a sense of calm and confidence to her clients around their event, being able to assure them beyond a doubt that all the little details they have in mind, as well as the overall vision, will be seamlessly executed on the day of.

 

At home, Eyfell finds joy in the kitchen, where she is able to unwind while making fresh pastas and baking yummy desserts for her family.

ADRIANA RUIZ

Sales Executive

Adriana comes to Del Cabo Events with an impressive twelve years of experience in weddings and events at high-end hotels with a sharp focus on client experience.

 

It was in that environment, she says, she truly learned to hone in on the needs of every single client, and to use her creativity and attention to detail to ensure that each event was as singular and special as the person behind it. As for the most enjoyable part of her work, she says without a doubt it is the final product, when her clients take in their vision come to life and are able to enjoy it to the fullest.

 

When it comes to organizing her time effectively, Adriana could give a master class. This not only helps her on the job, but also allows her to maintain a healthy lifestyle outside of work and spend plenty of quality time with the two people who inspire her most–her husband Erick and her daughter Valentina.

ENRIQUE CHANG

Sales Executive

Enrique has over ten years experience in the events and hospitality industry, the last two of which we have been lucky enough to have him as part of our team at Del Cabo Events. He has been indispensable to the success of our Puerto Vallarta/Punta Mita location, including overseeing the monumental task of moving our massive inventory from one warehouse to another over a three-day period to allow for continued growth.

 

As a sales executive, he credits his success to an acute ability to truly hear the wants and needs of his clients, down to the most miniscule detail. He also sees the understanding that we all are coming to one another from varied backgrounds and different sets of experience as crucial to effective communication with both clients and colleagues.

 

Working so closely with such an impressive range of products at Del Cabo, Enrique has also been bitten by the design bug and spends a good deal of his free time reimagining and redecorating his own apartment.

AURORA ASOMOZA

Event Designer

A relatively new addition to our team in Puerto Vallarta/Punta Mita, Aurora has proven herself to be invaluable to the success of this location, taking on large, logistically complex events right off the bat. She contributes this early success to three essential traits she always strives to master: organization, communication, and creativity.

Aurora takes inspiration from those around her who have overcome great obstacles in life, and it is that resilience that is constantly motivating her to move forward. She also highly values the new lessons she learns every day from her colleagues who have spent decades working in the industry.

Despite being an incredibly hard worker, she does her best to strike a healthy work-life balance, always making room for her favorite pastimes such as sketching and indoor cycling.

SHEYLA AYÓN

Administrative Sales Assistant

Though relatively new to the world of events, Sheyla believes that responsibility and a positive attitude are essential to offering the best service. She is a big advocate of carefully following guidelines to ensure everything goes according to plan. Sheyla feels passionate about her work and enjoys the positive reactions from clients when they experience the final product.

 

Her hobbies include being in the outdoors, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. She has always been inspired by her mother’s dedication to providing the best for her and is motivated by her partner, who encourages her professional growth. She trusts that, even in difficult times, God has the best intentions for her.
